I was called out to a property where a fallen tree containing a bee hive was making life a little bit hard.

The branch feel from quite high. It really is amazing how much of a shock a bee hive can survive.
Bees prefer to have small openings to their beehive, to make it easy to defend against invaders. A huge hole at the base of it is not their idea of a great location.
