I have been taking the time to do some stargazing, lately. The night skies are full of wonder, as long as you can wander far from city lights.
Below, the large magellanic cloud, which is clearly visible to the naked eye to the south, is shown in detail through a 200mm lens.
What might look like stars to your eyes, sometimes turns out to be clouds of interstellar dust and gas, lit by surrounding stars.
From my vantage point, the City of Bunbury casts a yellow cloud over the sky, luckily on a distant horizon.
