The Hammersley Inlet is not only a beautiful diverse corner of the Fitzgerald River national park, it is also perfectly accessible by a sealed road. Access to the inlet is from a carpark next to a camping ground. The shore of the inlet is covered with bright white dead trees.

Once you get to the river mouth, you will find the vast expanse of white beach sand, assuming you have arrived here during the summer.

The beach on the ocean itself then provides yet another landscape to enjoy, with large jagged upturned and eroding rocks.
